Senior Financial Advisor

Jim has been in the financial planning industry for over 30 years advising clients concerning their personal financial plans, estate and generational wealth transfer plans, corporate benefit and retirement plans, and charitable giving strategies. Jim finds great joy in helping his clients establish comprehensive financial plans and encouraging them to be the best stewards of the resources that God has entrusted to them.

Jim's passion for helping his clients stems from his personal experience helping his mom deal with her financial situation after the premature death of his father while Jim was in college. Jim grew up in Memphis and moved to Knoxville in 1983 to attend the University of Tennessee to be a manager for the Vols basketball team. While attending UT he met his wonderful wife, Karen, and he also received his degree in Political Science with a minor in Business. They have been blessed with eight children who have kept them busy with homeschooling, fun and interesting field trips, coaching their sports teams, and participating in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, backpacking, and canoeing. They are actively involved in serving their church, Westpark Baptist.

Jim is currently a deacon at Westpark and has served on the boards of Hope Resource Center, The Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and The Foundation of Missions. He is currently the Board Chair for Trail Life USA-Troop179 where he actively teaches and trains and mentors young men in the troop, along with his two youngest sons.
